About Keltan® EPDM Elastomers
Keltan® EPDM elastomers operate efficiently over a wide temperature range and combine superior resistance against heat, water, ozone, UV and weathering with strong flexibility, durability, and excellent electrical properties. They are available in oil-free and oil-extended grades and include Keltan® ECO, the first commercially available bio-based EPDM, which is made from sugar cane.
The Keltan® portfolio also includes notable new products such as:
- Keltan® 13951C-DE for new levels of sponge performance
- Keltan® 13561C, a very high molecular weight grade, for low cost compounding
- Keltan® 2470E, an electrical grade
Automotive applications account for approximately 60% of EPDM usage. In addition to automotive sealing, Keltan® is used in coolant hoses, brake hoses, poly V-belts, and anti-vibration systems. Non-automotive applications for Keltan® EPDM include window profiles and roofing. With these EPDM elastomers from ARLANXEO, fast mixing and high dispersion levels are readily achievable.
