In this webinar, Pete Spanos, a Senior Technical Manager with ARLANXEO, will share new developments in Keltan® Eco’s expanding product line and ARLANXEO’s roadmap to sustainably produce more rubber products while reducing the company’s overall carbon footprint.
Keltan® Eco is the world’s first commercial EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) rubber produced from bio-based feedstock. Keltan® Eco contains up to 70 percent ethylene obtained from sugarcane and has an impressive set of properties that remain identical and undiluted, compared to conventional EPDM. This eco-friendly solution ensures a significantly smaller carbon footprint than petroleum-based polymers and reduces our dependence on fossil resources.
Now ISCC+ certification standards are paving the path for many new Keltan® Eco grades with increased sustainable content and decreased carbon footprint. Even products with a negative carbon footprint will be introduced by Pete during this webinar.
The International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) is a globally leading certification system that offers solutions to address sustainability requirements for all feedstocks and renewables in the energy, food, feed, and chemical sectors. ISCC aims at implementing the highest sustainability requirements across ecological, social, regulatory, and management platforms.
ISCC+ is a sustainability certification program for bio-based and circular (recycled) raw materials in markets and sectors not regulated as transportation fuels under the European Renewable Energy Directive (EU RED) or Fuel Quality Directive (FQD).
About the Presenter
Pete Spanos works for ARLANXEO as a Senior Technical Manager and has a broad experience with most types of rubber polymers, including design, plant processing, and advanced test programs. Today, he provides technical guidance and application development services to ARLANXEO customers. Before joining the company nine years ago, Pete worked for Duramax Marine, Hexpol / Excel Polymers, Duramax-Johnson Rubber, and LORD Corporation.
