Dow is sharing a Product Selection Guide with solutions for Battery Fire Protection (BFP) in electric vehicles (EVs). Thermal runaway, a phenomenon that occurs when a battery cell starts to heat up uncontrollably, remains a risk with lithium-ion batteries. Silicones offer a unique set of properties that make them well-suited for BFP in EVs.

Christopher Windiate, a Lead Technical Service & Development Specialist for Dow, will present “Silicones for the Emerging Space Ecosystem” at Space Tech Expo USA on Wednesday, May 15, at 10 AM (PT) in Long Beach, California.

RDAbbott will supply Dow LSR to four liquid injection molding cells at NPE 2024, the plastics industry’s largest event. Two of these cells will also use pigments from NovationSi. Beth Sepulveda, RDAbbott’s Credit Manager, celebrated her 20-year work anniversary on March 1, 2024. When she joined RDAbbott in 2004, the company was fairly small. It has since grown over ten-fold.
