Cancarb Shares How Thermax® N990 Improves EPDM PEM Cell Stack Gaskets

Cancarb Limited has published a Technical Bulletin that shows how Thermax® N990, a medium thermal carbon black, improves compounding and boosts the performance of EPDM gaskets for polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cells. Thermax® N990 can also be added to EPDM rubber for better-performing electrolyzer gaskets.
Test Results
The Technical Bulletin demonstrates how Thermax® N990 improves dispersion, reduces mixing power consumption, and offers a potential cost reduction during EPDM compounding. The test results also show how this Cancarb product lowers viscosity and increases modulus, tensile strength, and toughness.
