RDAbbott has signed a new distribution agreement with 3M to expand its distribution of 3M Advanced Materials to Canada. This new agreement will be facilitated and managed locally by RDAbbott’s Canadian division, RDAbbott Canada, Ltd., based out of Burlington, Ontario, in the Greater Toronto Area. The agreement became effective on July 1, 2021, and covers fluoroelastomers; perfluoroelastomers; and FKM curatives and process aids.
Cancarb Limited has been awarded a platinum sustainability rating from EcoVadis, a global provider of scorecards for corporate and environmental sustainability. Cancarb’s new rating indicates that the company is in the top 1% of its industry for the sustainable production of carbon black, which is added to thermoplastics and can contribute color, opacity, electrical resistivity, and protection from ultra-violet degradation.
Cancarb Limited recently announced the completion and successful commissioning of the sixth unit at its thermal carbon black production facility in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. This expansion brings capacity for its Thermax® brand of thermal carbon black products to 54,000 MT per year.
