July 24, 2026
RDAbbott de México, our Mexican subsidiary, is now a member of the Baja California Medical Device Cluster. This industry ecosystem includes medical device manufacturers, suppliers, universities, and government partners in Baja Mexico.
Recently, the Cluster welcomed RDAbbott de México with a formal Certificate of Membership, recognizing its commitment to innovation, collaboration, and the continued development of the region’s medical device ecosystem.
“We’re excited to join the Baja California Medical Device Cluster and collaborate with such an influential community of healthcare innovators,” said Gabriel Gonzalez, Director of Healthcare Business Development at RDAbbott. “Baja California plays a vital role in global medical manufacturing, and we look forward to contributing our materials expertise and technical resources to help advance next generation medical technologies.”
The Baja California Medical Device Cluster brings together leading medical device manufacturers—including Medtronic, Intuitive Surgical, Enovis, Breg, and Providien—alongside suppliers, universities, and government organizations. By strengthening the region’s competitiveness, accelerating innovation, and expanding the economic impact of the region’s medical products industry, the Cluster seeks to establish the highest concentration of medical product development and manufacturing in the Americas.
Since its founding in 2003, the Baja California Medical Device Cluster has played a pivotal role in shaping the region’s medical manufacturing landscape. Today, it has more than 50 member companies and active engagement with 70 anchor manufacturers across both Baja California and California (USA). Cluster initiatives include MedSummit, a premiere event that connects manufacturers with specialized suppliers; monthly industry meetings and technical conferences; and training partnerships with universities.
