RDAbbott Named to Rubber News’ Best Places to Work List for Second Time
November 1, 2021
RDAbbott has been named one of Rubber News’ Best Places to Work in 2021. Rubber News, an industry-leading trade publication, sponsors the competition annually and announced this year’s winners on November 1. This is the second time RDAbbott has been named to the publication’s “Best Places to Work” List, which recognizes rubber industry companies based on employee satisfaction. RDAbbott was also named to this distinguished list in 2019, but did not participate in last year’s competition because of the pandemic.
“Being recognized as one of Rubber News’ Best Places to Work is unlike any other award in our industry because it’s based on outstanding employee satisfaction,” shared Keith Thomas, RDAbbott’s CEO. “To learn that our employees responded to this survey in such a way that we would receive this recognition is very humbling,” continued Thomas.
The Rubber News’ Best Places to Work program uses a two-step process to evaluate participating companies. The first step involves assessing a company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second step uses surveys to directly assess the workplace attitudes and experiences of individual employees. Best Companies Group, an independent organization that specializes in Best Places to Work Programs, managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data, and used its expertise to determine the final rankings.
The Rubber News’ Best Places to Work program defines the rubber industry as companies that make end-use rubber products and includes suppliers or providers of services to the rubber industry. The competition is open to publicly and privately held businesses that have a facility in the United States or Canada, with a minimum of fifteen employees who work in these countries. To be eligible, companies must be in business for at least a year and derive at least 50% of their revenue from elastomer-related operations.
