Parker Launches CHEMLOK® NX-100 Adhesive for Strong Bonds, Environmental Sustainability, and Regulatory Compliance

Parker has launched CHEMLOK® NX-100, a next-generation covercoat adhesive that bonds elastomers to substrates while supporting greater environmental sustainability and stronger regulatory compliance. This new topcoat adhesive bonds a variety of elastomeric compounds to rigid substrates during vulcanization.

CHEMLOK® NX-100 reflects Parker’s commitment to continuous innovation, reliable products, and exceptional service. This adhesive bonds natural rubber (NR), styrene-butadiene (SBR), polychloroprene (CR), and EPDM polymers to metals and other rigid substrates without the use of chlorinated solvents that raise environmental health and safety (EHS) concerns.

Under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) is phasing out or banning the use of several chlorinated solvents, including substances that have been used in some adhesives. Parker is focused on clean technologies and committed to helping customers pursue their EHS, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

CHEMLOK® NX-100 adhesive consists of a mixture of polymer and heat-reactive components that are dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent system. It’s available in 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums and is easy to apply by spray, dip, brush, or roll coat methods. Use with CHEMLOK® 205 primer to ensure adhesion to the substrate and environmental resistance of the bonded assembly.
