DiamondKote™ DKW-4185 Reduces Buildup and Increases Productivity

ITW Pro Brands is promoting a new mold release agent, DiamondKote™ DKW-4185, for faster and easier mold cleaning. This water-based, semi-permanent product releases polyacrylate rubber, butyl rubber, natural rubber, SBR, EPDM, and most sulfur-cured elastomers from mold surfaces. DiamondKote™ DKW-4185 can also be used with FKM that is amine-cured or bisphenol-cured, and with rubber-to-metal bonded parts.
Applications for DiamondKote™ DKW-4185 include automotive suspensions, anti-vibration mounts, O-rings, seals, and gaskets. This aqueous product is supplied in 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon drums, and 330-gallon totes and can be applied with an atomizing spray gun or an airless spray gun that produces finely atomized spray particles. For best results, clean mold surfaces first and then apply four to five light coats.
DiamondKote™ DKW-4185 is a water-thin white liquid with a shelf life of 10 months. Like other DiamondKote™ Mold Releases, this semi-permanent product promotes cleaner tooling and lower scrap rates in molding operations. The benefits include higher levels of productivity.
