Cancarb Limited recently announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved its Food Contact Notification (FCN) for Thermax® N990CG, a drop-in replacement for Thermax® N990 with low levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH).
Join us on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (ET) for this free webinar. Brian Swanton, Director of Process Engineering for NovationSi, will explain how customized LSRs can be tailored at the formulation level before injection molding begins. If you can’t make this live event, register anyway and we’ll send you the recording.
Join us August 26 – 28, 2025, in Barberton, Ohio, for “Manufacturing with Silicone Rubber,” a comprehensive workshop hosted by RDAbbott from a fabricator’s point-of-view. There’s also an optional training opportunity on August 29 for one-on-one discussions with instructors and deeper dives into process development.
Join us on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, for the Ontario Rubber Group Spring Technical Meeting at the Mississauga Grand Banquet & Event Center in Mississauga, Ontario. Running from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, this event will feature expert presentations on a variety of topics, including industry tariffs, rubber process analyzers, and recycled carbon black. Among the featured speakers, RDAbbott’s Director of Business Development, Steve Griffin, will share the latest advancements in conductive silicone elastomers.
Cancarb Limited has published a Technical Bulletin that shows how formulating EPDM rubber with Thermax® N990 improves compound dispersion, decreases mixing energy, reduces compound viscosity, and supports potential cost reductions.
Due to its large particle size and low structure, Cancarb’s Thermax® N990 is an ideal choice for applications that require strong dynamic properties, such as bushings, engine mounts, bump stops, and other NVH components. Check out this webinar recording to discover how Thermax® N990 medium thermal carbon black stacks up against other types of carbon black.
Join us on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (ET) for a free webinar about the dynamic property advantages of Cancarb Thermax® N990 in rubber compounding. Due to its large particle size and low structure, compared to other types of carbon black, Thermax® N990 is an ideal choice for applications that require strong dynamic properties, such as bushings, engine mounts, bump stops, and other NVH components.
Visit RDAbbott and NovationSi in Booth 607 at the 2024 International Elastomer Conference (IEC), hosted by the Rubber Division, ACS from September 9 to 12 in Pittsburgh, PA. While you’re there, be sure to swing by our booth for a fresh cup of coffee in the mornings and chat with our team members about the latest elastomer products and technologies available through our supplier partners.
Cancarb Limited has published a Tensile Strength Distribution Technical Bulletin that shows how formulating nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) with Thermax® N990 improves dispersion quality and supports potential cost reductions. The study compared nine materials, including two Thermax® medium thermal carbon black materials, and used tensile strength distribution instead of optical instruments to evaluate dispersion quality.
Cancarb Limited has published a Technical Bulletin that shows how Thermax® N990, a medium thermal carbon black, improves compounding and boosts the performance of EPDM gaskets for polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cells. The benefits of adding Thermax® N990 to EPDM include good compression set, low-temperature flexibility, and increased resistance to heat and chemicals.
