A novel silicone material from Dow is helping LumenFlow, a provider of lighting solutions, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of its optical assembly operations. SILASTIC™ MS-1002 Moldable Silicone can withstand the high temperatures of reflow soldering and supports geometries that are not possible with the thermoplastics used in traditional optics.
RDAbbott is proud to announce its partnership with Toshiba Machine in Hall 15, Booth B04, at the K 2019 in Germany to produce an automotive LED headlamp optic made of Dow SILASTIC™ MS-1002 Moldable Optical Silicone. All participating partners in this collaborative production cell include: Toshiba Machines, EPF Automation, Dow, ELMET, M.R. Mold & Engineering, Frigel, Yushin America, Inc., LumenFlow Corp., and RDAbbott.
