RDAbbott has joined forces with Cancarb Limited as its exclusive distributor for Thermax® brand medium thermal carbon black in Mexico. This strategic agreement, effective June 25, 2023, aims to expand market presence and deliver exceptional technical support to customers. RDAbbott’s Mexico subsidiary, RDAbbott de México S. de R.L. de C.V., will facilitate and manage the distribution operations locally. RDAbbott has represented Cancarb products in the United States and Canada since 2017.

RDAbbott has hired Humberto Ibáñez as Senior Account Manager for R.D. Abbott de México. Ibáñez joined RDAbbott’s México subsidiary on June 6, 2023, and is responsible for developing business relationships, fostering sales growth, and providing technical support to customers in México. Ibáñez brings strong technical sales skills to his new role and has many years of experience selling Cancarb Limited’s Thermax® brand medium thermal carbon blacks.

RDAbbott will also highlight the capabilities of its supplier partners who are exhibiting and, in some cases, presenting technical papers during IEC’s Technical Conference.

In this webinar, Hallstar Senior Chemist Erica Anderson, will explain the science behind monomeric and polymeric plasticizers, as well as how they function in different elastomers. This webinar will explore the structure-property relationships between a wide range of plasticizer chemistries and cover Hallstar’s selection for desired performance enhancements and elastomer applications. Moreover, it will provide specific case studies showing the advantage plasticizers bring to different polymer formulations.

RDAbbott has named Jason Huff, a rubber and plastics industry professional with 20+ years of experience, as Senior Account Manager for the Midwestern United States. From research and development to global technical service and providing value-added solutions, Huff has exceled in a variety of roles and brings extensive knowledge of polymer molding and processing—including specific expertise in polymer-to-substrate adhesives and mold release agents.

Starting in March, RDAbbott will be launching a webinar series featuring products from many of our supplier partners. These webinars will provide technical insights and processing recommendations, as well as feature new products and technologies.
