Steps you can be taking to ensure supply…
We are asking for your help in forecasting and planning through the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021. While this may be a difficult task during a pandemic, any outlook, forecast, or blanket order you can provide will help to ensure you (and your customers) receive products when needed. In addition, if you foresee any changes in demand or order timing, we would greatly appreciate advanced warning.
Collaborative and frequent communication during this season is greatly appreciated. We WILL get through this, together.
Thank you!
Thank you for being a great part of the RDAbbott family and for allowing us to be your elastomers supplier. We truly appreciate your continued business.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
*In the event a face-to-face meeting or visit is necessary—and approved by both parties—we ask that both parties follow smart hygiene rules and avoid any physical contact, such as handshakes. A short “COVID-19 Assessment” questionnaire will also need to be completed and approved prior to arrival.

As a supplier of essential healthcare, medical device and infrastructure materials, RDAbbott will remain open to receive and ship materials, as well as provide critical laboratory services from its Cerritos, California, facility amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision is in accordance with all current national, state, and local guidelines associated with reducing the spread of the coronavirus.
As of Thursday, March 19, the state of California declared “shelter-in-place” protocols for all non-essential business operations. Since RDAbbott supplies critical healthcare and infrastructure materials, it will continue its business operations as an essential supplier for Critical Manufacturers.
RDAbbott is proactively adjusting its on-site personnel to meet customer demands. All non-essential work has been moved off-site in accordance with the latest legislative guidelines.
“With minimal staff, good planning and communication becomes essential,” stated RDAbbott President Keith Thomas. “During this dynamic situation, our commitment to collaboratively determining order requirements, identifying constraints and developing relevant solutions for our customers and supplier partners is unwavering,” continued Thomas.
RDAbbott will continue to assess and adjust its workflows as the situation evolves in North America.

To our valued customers:
As a supplier of essential healthcare, medical device and infrastructure materials, RDAbbott’s Cerritos, California, facility will remain open to receive and ship materials, as well as continue critical laboratory projects.
Rest assured, RDAbbott is fully complying with all federal, state and local orders and guidelines for reducing the spread of COVID-19, including the most recent “Safer-At-Home” emergency order issued for Los Angeles county on March 19, 2020.
While this order is in effect, our working protocols establish that:
- no visitors are permitted in our facility
- only “essential employees” shall be onsite and they must maintain safe distancing (per section 5, part ii, of the order)
- no more than 10 persons are permitted onsite at any time, and
- our facility is being sanitized daily
During this time, we would very much appreciate advanced warning of any anticipated change in demand and/or order timing.
We are adjusting our on-site personnel daily in Cerritos to meet critical customer demands; all non-essential work has been moved offsite or at-home. With minimal staff, good planning becomes essential!
Your assistance and good communication during this critical time is greatly appreciated. We will get through this, together.

RDAbbott is in full compliance with all federal, state, and local government orders pertaining to COVID-19 containment.
At this time, no RDAbbott facilities have been impacted by a mandatory workplace shutdown. We have expanded our remote-work efforts to leave only essential on-site personnel to accept/ship orders and maintain basic business operations. We will monitor order and shipment volumes daily and adjust as needed.
Should Los Angeles County take steps similar to Orange County or the Bay Area that affects the workplace: RDAbbott is a provider of critical healthcare-related raw materials. Therefore, our Cerritos, California, facility will remain open for receipt and shipment of materials throughout this crisis.
