German RepRap presents new LAM and FFF products at Formnext 2019
November 15, 2019
Once again this year, the Formnext will take place in Frankfurt, the European industry meeting place of the year for all those that are interested in additive manufacturing.
In Hall 11.1, Booth E71, German RepRap presents a brand new booth, bringing exciting show cases to Frankfurt and showing new product innovations of the Fused Filament Fabrication, short FFF technology and the Liquid Additive Manufacturing, short LAM Technology live on the booth stand.
As an innovative new product from the X series, German RepRap introduces the new x500pro at the Formnext. With its new features and innovations, this machine is unbeatably reliable for the use in industrial environments. The system has a heated chamber, as well as the latest DD4 extruder technology including water cooling and the new Dual Lift extruders. Thus, the x500pro is ideal for series production of high performance materials, such as high temperature materials, abrasive or other materials.
The new Dual Lift Extruder System was developed to ensure automatic lifting and lowering of the extruders, especially for dual print jobs. Thus, the non-working unit is removed from the printing process. The levelling of the two extruders takes place independently of each other.
Another useful innovation is the Direct Drive Material Handling. The high-quality material handling system ensures a closed and transition-free material conveyance, automatically, even after a filament change. Especially flexible materials can be processed much easier. The system is made of hardened steel, which is why abrasive materials are no problem. The feeder is optimally adapted to a material diameter of 1.75 mm and thus also supports the high process reliability.
At the Formnext, all visitors are welcome to come around and have a closer look at all the new features, such as the new filament feeder and the tracking system, the new print head, with which a nozzle change is now possible within a few seconds, or the fully automatic system leveling.
The FFF machines x400, which will also be live on the stand, and the x500pro each will show printing processes with very interesting materials. For example, the soft 3D filaments Hytrel® 3D4000FL and Hytrel® 3D4100FL as well as the very hard polycarbonate (PC), the not yet well known polypropylene (PP) and the high-performance material PEKK. All materials are used primarily in industries such as the automotive, aerospace, electronics, research, textile and packaging industries.
As an innovative new product from the LAM series, German RepRap introduces the new L320 for the first time at Formnext. The L320 will show interesting applications in the field of high temperature silicone elastomers (using Dow SILASTIC™ 3D 3335 Liquid Silicone Rubber) and even a case of application with a polyurethane (PU) material from Chromatic 3D live on the booth. Working in partnership with DSM, Chromatic 3D Materials and German RepRap, we have worked together to create flexible and powerful solutions to provide the resources and expertise needed to produce flexible, high-performance materials such as polyurethane in a wide range of industries using additive manufacturing. This material is mainly used in the automotive, rail and shoe industries.
Tailored to the needs of industrial use, German RepRap supports its customers with its application know-how and tailor-made maintenance and service agreements for all products.
Another interesting application show case that German RepRap presents this year will be a combination of FFF and LAM Technology. Here, too, visitors may be curious what German RepRap will present in this context.
All visitors are cordially invited to visit the booth stand: please contact info@germanreprap.com for a free visitor ticket or more information.
