Alpha Technologies and RDAbbott Offer One-Day Course in Rheology Applications

RDAbbott and Alpha Technologies, a leader in the design and manufacturing of advanced testing solutions for elastomer and polymer materials, are offering a Rheology Applications Course this winter. This one-day training will be held on Monday, February 10, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at RDAbbott’s headquarters at 16511 Carmenita Road in Cerritos, California.
The Rheology Applications Course is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience with Alpha Technologies’ rheometers. The Premier™ RPA, a dynamic mechanical rheological tester (DMRT), is designed to test raw polymers or mixed rubber. It is the first instrument capable of measuring rubber compounds before, during, and after cure in a single test. Participants will learn about the science and technology behind these testing instruments and how to use this knowledge to troubleshoot material and process issues.
Participants will also have an opportunity to work directly with industry experts. The instructors are Henry Pawlowski and Rick Hanzlik, Alpha Technologies’ Application Specialists, and Rick Ziebell, RDAbbott Technology Fellow. Pawlowski, a chemist with over 40 years of rheometry experience, was part of the team that invented the Premiere™ RPA. Hanzlik, a chemical engineer, uses rheometers with thermoset polymers that include rubber. Ziebell has over 35 years of application development experience in the rubber industry and is the instructor for a two-semester long course in basic rubber technology for The Los Angeles Rubber Group, Inc. (TLARGI).

The cost for this one-day course is $997 (per person) and includes hands-on training by certified applications specialists, training materials, continental breakfast and lunch.
