RDAbbott Shares Christmas Video and Wins Workplace Honor

RDAbbott has released a delightful holiday video called “Deck the Labs,” a good-natured parody of “Deck the Halls,” the classic Christmas carol. RDAbbott’s 2019 Christmas video was fully produced at the company’s headquarters and is the latest in a series of holiday messages that include “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” (2018) and “Feliz Navidad” (2017). RDAbbott employees from across the enterprise enjoy planning and participating in this annual tradition.

“Deck the Labs” includes a visit from a forklift-riding Santa Claus, Business Line Manager Tom Martin, who also checks an employee list to see who’s been naughty or nice. At a lab table that looks like a baking station, technicians prepare cookie-like shapes from silicone that have been pigmented red and green from color dispersions provided by NovationSi. Customer service, purchasing, and warehouse elves dance and join in the fun as “Deck the Labs” playfully explains how “don we now we our safe apparel to ensure we’re always careful.” The song writing, vocal recording, props, choreography, and production are masterfully planned, and the video ends with a joyous “We want to wish you a Merry Christmas!” from the happy RDAbbott team. Recently, RDAbbott was named one of the 2019 Best Places to Work by Rubber & Plastics News, a leading trade publication. The magazine used a two-step to process to evaluate participating rubber industry companies. First, RPN evaluated workplace policies, practices, and demographics. Second, an employee survey was used to assess workplace attitudes and experiences. The combined scores determined the eight winners of the contest.

“Being recognized as one of the best places to work in our industry is unlike any other award, and it is gratifying beyond words,” said RDAbbott’s President, Keith Thomas, who also appeared in this year’s Christmas video. “On behalf of our entire company, we wish everyone Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.”
