Cancarb Thermax Carbon Black Enhancing TSE Industries’ Millathane Millable Polyurethane

A recent study, considering filler ratios and loadings for Cancarb’s Thermax^® N990 carbon black to enhance TSE’s Millathane^® E-34 polyurethane polymer.

Results of the study show that with other reinforcing fillers, Thermax^® N990 enhances processability and reduces formulation costs, while maintaining both key physical properties and abrasion resistance. Optimal formulations improve mill handling and mixing operations, plus molding and calendering operations. The synergy of these materials are useful in mining, oil and gas, and heavy industrial sectors where extreme toughness and wearability are sought to improve long-lasting performance.
