Join RDAbbott and Dow for an exclusive Lunch n’ Learn at RDAbbott’s Service Center in Barberton, Ohio, on March 24, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (ET). This collaborative event brings together industry-leading experts and equipment partners from Sodick, Roembke, and Nexus to showcase the latest advancements in medical-grade silicone elastomers and processing technologies.
The holidays are better when shared—and this year, we’re sharing something extra special. RDAbbott and NovationSi are excited to present our annual Christmas video, “Our Little Saint Nicks,” a fun, family-filled tribute inspired by the Beach Boys’ Little Saint Nick. The video is packed with adorable photos of our employees and their kids and grandkids; all dressed for the season and delivering holiday cheer one smile at a time.
Dow has published an article in EV Design and Manufacturing that explains why silicones are instrumental in supporting EV battery performance and safety. Designers have a choice of thermal management and fire protection materials, but silicones combine thermal stability, high temperature resistance, and electrical insulation along with other critical characteristics.
Parker has launched CHEMLOK® NX-100, a next-generation covercoat adhesive that bonds elastomers to substrates during vulcanization while supporting greater environmental sustainability and improved regulatory compliance. This new topcoat adhesive bonds NR, SBR, CR, and EPDM polymers to metals and other rigid substrates without the use of chlorinated solvents that raise EHS concerns.
Rick Ziebell, RDAbbott’s Technical Fellow, will be an instructor for Silicone Elastomers Technology and Fabrication, an expert-led course from M.R. Toub Training, scheduled for February 9 – 12, 2026, from 8 AM to 5 PM (PT) each day. This university-accredited course will provide participants with continuing education credits from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Dow has published a new landing page about its high-performance materials for sports equipment and recreation products. These advanced materials include liquid silicone rubber (LSR) for water sports and LED illumination. Liquid injection molding supports the use of LSRs in various colors and durometers with benefits that include reduced handling and increased throughput.
Visit RDAbbott and NovationSi in the Sodick by Plustech Booth #3939 at MD&M West 2026, February 3–5 in Anaheim, CA. Join us for Sodick & Friends Coffee Talk sessions and learn how advanced silicone and healthcare elastomer technologies can enhance performance, processing, and product design.
Join us on Thursday, January 29, 2026, for a free technical webinar on Conductive Silicone Technology, presented by Steve Griffin, Director of Business Development at RDAbbott. Learn how advanced filler technologies transform silicone elastomers from insulators into materials capable of static dissipation, ESD protection, and EMI shielding across a wide range of applications.
Thermax® N990CG medium thermal carbon black meets the requirements for carbon black specified in EU 10/2011, enabling its use in water gaskets. It also carries an effective Food Contact Notification (FCN No. 2420), allowing it to be used in applications covered under CFR 177.2600 rubber articles intended for repeated use. By watching this webinar recording, you’ll learn how Thermax® N990CG can serve as a drop-in replacement for standard N990 in rubber formulations, while ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory requirements for food contact and consumer goods.
Cancarb Limited has published a new data sheet that explains why grades of its Thermax® Powder are used in high-temperature furnaces and reactors. These medium thermal carbon blacks combine low thermal conductivity with high carbon purity, chemical inertness, low combustibility, and heat resistance up to 3200°C. They also cost less than synthetic graphite and carbon felts.
