The company is based in Milan, Italy, and works with a global network of partners to supply well-known brands such as PremiX® and Veacolor®—along with dry liquids, micronized powders, granular blends, powder blends, pre-weighted materials, and chemical auxiliaries.
In this webinar, Giorgio Marzari, Sales Director for RDC, and Dr. Gianluca Melillo, Technical Director for RDC, will begin with a look at PremiX® products for improved compound quality, reduced operational costs, and stronger environmental health and safety. The active part of PremiX® is homogenously dispersed in a polymeric matrix that is highly compatible with elastomeric materials.
In addition, this webinar will discuss VEAFLAME, a new halogen-free flame retardant that provides compounders with a safer and healthier alternative to antimony trioxide and borate salts. VEAFLAME promotes fire suppression by forming a compact char on the surface of the burning article, and without raising regulatory concerns. VEAFLAME is also versatile enough to boost antimony and halogen systems.
About the Presenters
Giorgio Marzari is the Sales Director for RDC. He began his career as a technical and commercial assistant in the powder coating market, then later served as a commercial manager in the PVC stabilizers market. In 1998 he joined RDC as Global Sales Manager. Today, as the company’s Sales Director, Giorgio enjoys meeting customers face-to-face and providing solutions to their challenges.
Dr. Gianluca Melillo is the Technical Director for RDC. He holds a master’s degree in Chemistry and earned a PhD in Organometallic Chemistry by studying Ziegler-Natta polymerization. Dr. Melillo also holds a two-year postdoctoral fellowship from Pirelli Tires, where he focused on innovative materials for rubber compounding. In 2005, he joined RDC as a raw material specialist and became the lead for all technical aspects of RDC’s activities.
