What You Will Learn
Join Ed Norton, Technical Service Manager, at Cancarb Limited, the largest company in the world exclusively dedicated to manufacturing thermal carbon blacks, one of the purest forms of carbon derived from the thermal decomposition of natural gas.
In this presentation, you’ll discover how Thermax® N990 medium thermal carbon black stacks up against other types of carbon black. With its large particle size and low structure, Thermax® N990 can replace furnace grade carbon black in rubber formulations to improve dynamic properties and increase total filler loading (extend the compound) while maintaining compound hardness. This makes Thermax® N990 an ideal choice for applications that require strong dynamic properties, such as bushings, engine mounts, bump stops, and other NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) components.
Additional benefits of adding Thermax® N990 to your compound include:
- Improved compression set
- Low-temperature flexibility
- Increased heat resistance
- Greater chemical resistance
Chris Sawicki, the Americas Marketing Representative for Cancarb, will join Ed for the Q&A segment of our live event.
