RDC Updates Product Brochure for Rubber and Thermoplastic Industries

Rubber Dispersion Chemical (RDC) S.r.l., a global supplier of pre-dispersed chemicals and additives, has revised its product brochure for the rubber and thermoplastic industries. The highlights include a new section about the company’s Premix® Specialties and new pages about its Veaflame flame suppressors and Films and Bags for Chemical Pre-Dosing. There are several other updates as well.

Premix® Specialties

Since 1975, RDC has supplied Premix® pre-dispersed specialty chemicals. The new brochure compares Premix® to Premix®/S, which is based on a special elastomeric matrix that provides lower viscosity and hardness.

There’s also a new Premix® Specialties section that describes three main groups of products.

  • Premix® products are divided into accelerators, sulphur and sulphur donors, retarders, inorganic metal salts, antioxidants, and other products.
  • Premix® N products are pre-dispersed chemicals with a nitrile rubber polymeric matrix.
  • Premix® FA products are pre-dispersed chemicals with a food-approved polymeric matrix according to FDA 177.2600.

In addition to standard products, RDC can produce custom pre-dispersed materials in response to customer demand. For example, RDC can produce Premix® products with different active-part concentrations. The company’s R&D team works closely with its Technical Department, and there may be new products in stock that are not included in the brochure.

Veaflame

Veaflame is a new class of highly-active flame suppressors for polymeric composites. Standard grades include Veaflame 13 for solid and sponge rubber, and Veaflame 20 for when a delayed ignition is required. Both products boost existing flame-retardant systems.

Films and Bags for Chemical Pre-Dosing

The updated brochure contains a section for Veafilm and Veabag products. These low melting point plastic films and bags are designed for pre-dosing operations in rubber and plastics mixing operations.

Additional Changes

The updated brochure also contains new and updated information about these other RDC products:

  • Dry Liquids: NOP DL was added and SILANE 172 DL was removed.
  • Powder Blends: Now supplied in 20 Kg multi-ply paper bags instead of 25 Kg bags.
  • Inorganic Pigments: Product names are updated and Premix® T102 Anatase was added.

Finally, the new brochure contains updated information about RDC’s certifications and approvals:

  • RDC’s health, safety, quality and environmental policy is now guaranteed by UNI ISO 45001:2018 instead of BS OHSAS 18001:2007.
  • The Certified Management Systems logo has been updated.
  • Lastly, the brochure includes RDC’s 2022 Silver EcoVadis Sustainability Rating
