Cancarb Limited has published a Technical Bulletin that shows how formulating EPDM sponge rubber compounds with Thermax® N990 reduces mixing power consumption and improves elongation while maintaining physical properties and achieving an excellent surface finish.

Thermax® N990CG from Cancarb Limited meets U.S. and European Union (EU) regulations for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), chemicals that have been classified as carcinogenic to humans. The study compared nine materials, including two Thermax® medium thermal carbon black materials, and used tensile strength distribution instead of optical instruments to evaluate dispersion quality.
