RDAbbott is hosting a free training webinar titled, “Chemlok® Application and Troubleshooting,” that will feature rubber-to-substrate adhesives from Parker LORD. In this live webinar, Parker LORD Senior Scientist Jeff Means and Application Engineer Cristina DiFranco, will focus on proper substrate preparation, adhesive application, and molding best practices. They will also facilitate an interactive workshop, using webinar polls, for troubleshooting bond failures.

On Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (ET), RDAbbott will host a free webinar called “Introduction to ARLANXEO Keltan® EPDMs.” This event will cover the basics of EPDM elastomers and EPDM compounding, including what’s important and key polymer criteria. In this live event, Pete Spanos, ARLANXEO’s Senior Technical Manager, will describe the properties, applications, and advantages of Keltan®, a broad portfolio of premium EPDM grades.

On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (ET) the Ontario and Quebec Rubber Groups will host a free webinar titled, “Elastomer Sealing Performance in Hydrogen Fuel Cells.” In this live webinar, ARLANXEO Polymer Scientist Jake Rawski will highlight elastomer sealing performance advancements using Thermax® N990 Carbon Black and X_Butyl® Bromobutyl designed for hydrogen fuel system technologies.

3M is hosting a free webinar titled, “Fluoroelastomer Compounding Basics,” on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. This 45-minute course will review some basic compounding of fluoroelastomers. More specifically, webinar registrants can expect to hear about typical compounds, the role of metal oxides and hydroxides, various filler types, and processing aids.

Rubber Division, ACS will hold its Spring Technical Meeting from April 27 to 29, 2021, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton, Cleveland Rockside, in Independence, Ohio. This is the 199th technical meeting by the Rubber Division, which is part of the American Chemical Society (ACS). For RDAbbott and other members of the rubber industry, it’s an important opportunity to reconnect with customers and colleagues after the cancelation of last year’s in-person spring meeting because of the coronavirus.

Starting Tuesday, April 13, 2021, Alpha Technologies is hosting a three-day live webinar series on a wide variety of rubber testing topics. Rick Ziebell, RDAbbott’s Vice President of Technology, will be presenting on “Rubber Characterization for Computer Aided Design.”

TLARGI is gearing up to host its first web technical conference on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, from 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM (PT). Attendees will hear from familiar elastomer pros and some of RDAbbott’s trusted supplier partner representatives, such as John Dick, Pete Spanos, and Ed Norton.

On Tuesday, March 30, 2020, from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (ET), RDAbbott is hosting a free webinar on “Third-Stream Additives that Modify LSR and HCR.” In this live event, Rick Ziebell, RDAbbott’s Technical Fellow and Vice President of Technology, will introduce revolutionary NovaSperse® Third-Stream Modifier technologies from NovationSi that are breaking new ground for modifying LSR properties during the liquid injection molding (LIM) process.

3M is hosting a free webinar titled, “Fluoroelastomer Cure System Overview,” on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. This one-hour course will be focused on introducing fluoroelastomer cure chemistry, including the basics of crosslinking, types of cure systems used, cure mechanisms, the role of metal oxides play in curing and a brief overview of post curing.

RDAbbott will deliver a technical presentation about innovative silicone additives technologies and host an “Ask the Expert” session highlighting optical silicone advances during the 2020 International Silicone Conference. The International Silicone Conference is a biennial event that will feature a virtual edition this year.
