“Chemlok® Overview, Best Practices, and Troubleshooting” Seminar Hosted by RDAbbott (July 24)

On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (ET), RDAbbott is hosting a free technical seminar featuring Chemlok® rubber-to-substrate adhesives from Parker Lord at our Ohio facility located at 25 Foundation Pl, Barberton, Ohio 44203.

During this in-person event, Parker Lord Application Engineer Brady Hultman will review the rubber-to-substrate bonding process from start to finish. This review will include:

  • Proper substrate preparation
  • Adhesive preparation and application techniques
  • Coated part handling
  • Molding best practices

The training will then transition into a troubleshooting workshop where failed parts are studied for bond failures and preventative actions.

RDAbbott’s East Coast Sales Manager Jason Huff will also provide a brief overview of the latest product developments from Parker Lord, including:

  • Chemlok® cold-bond adhesives
  • Chemlok® water-based (aqueous) adhesives
  • Sipiol® UV dielectric coatings for EV battery packs
  • Flocklok® single-coat flock adhesives

About the Presenters

Brady Hultman is an Application Engineer at Parker Lord bringing more than 30 years experience and extensive knowledge of adhesive application equipment, metal preparation for bonding, rubber-to-substrate application and troubleshooting. 27 of those years, Brady provided technical service for the Chemlok® product line. Three of those years, Brady supervised metal preparations and adhesive application in a manufacturing facility.

Jason Huff, is the East Coast Sales Manager for RDAbbott. He is a rubber and plastics industry professional with 20+ years of experience. From research and development to global technical service, Jason has extensive knowledge of polymer molding and processing, including specific expertise in polymer-to-substrate adhesives and mold release agents. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jason resides in the Queen City with his wife and three children. He’s also an active member of several industry groups, including serving as a former Chair of the Bourbon Trail Elastomer Group and Golf Chair for the Ohio Rubber Group, both local groups within the Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS).
