Training Agenda*

Day 1 of Training:

The training will begin with a comprehensive overview of the rubber-to-substrate bonding process, covering essential topics such as surface preparation, product selection and application, as well as molding and testing best practices. Participants will also engage in hands-on lab exercises, including a Lab Service Request activity to create bonded assemblies and an in-depth review of manufacturing defects caused by improper processing techniques.

Day 2 of Training:

Lab exercises will continue with an in-depth discussion and demonstration of various application equipment and methods, along with an analysis of common improper practices. The course will conclude with a hands-on troubleshooting workshop, where participants will examine failed parts to identify failure modes and determine root causes.

*Important Note: Time is allotted for participants to openly discuss their specific challenges with industry experts and peers. To maintain confidentiality, discussions will be generalized to avoid proprietary disclosures.

Training Location:

Parker Lord’s facility at 2455 Robison Road West, Erie, PA 16509.

Schedule:

  • October 13 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • October 14 from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Parking and Check-in:

  • Park in Visitor Parking
  • Enter through the main lobby entrance at the front of the building (glass atrium front)
  • Sign in at reception to receive a visitor’s badge
  • All visitors will be escorted to the required training room/labs.

Food and Drinks

Beverages, snacks, and lunch will be provided to all registrants during the training.

Attire

Dress Code:

  • Business casual
  • Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required
  • No loose clothing (e.g., ties, scarves)
  • Steel-toe shoes required in some lab areas (Parker Lord will provide slip-ons, if needed.)

  • Safety Glasses
