Space Tech Expo USA (May 13 – 15)

Christopher Windiate, a Lead Technical Service & Development Specialist for Dow, will present “Silicones for the Emerging Space Ecosystem” at Space Tech Expo USA on Wednesday, May 15, at 10 AM (PT) in Long Beach, California.

Space Tech Expo is the West Coast’s premier B2B exhibition and conference for the space industry. This year’s event is scheduled for May 14 and 15 at the Long Beach Convention Center and will feature 50+ speakers, 275+ exhibitors, and 3500+ attendees.

Next-Gen Materials for Space Missions

“Silicones for the Emerging Space Ecosystem” is part of “Introducing Next-Gen Materials to Enable Reliable Space Missions – Session 1”, a track that runs from 10 AM to 11 AM (PT) on Wednesday, May 15. There are two other presentations during this one-hour session.

  • Christopher Melnyk, Director of Business Development for California Nanotechnologies, will present “Rapid Material Development and Component Production via Cryogenic Milling and FAST Spark Plasma Sintering”
  • Michael Niedzinski, Director of Standardization of Constellium, will present “Characteristics and Applications of Airware 2050 (Aluminum Lithium) in Space”

Christopher Windiate is a Lead Technical Service & Development Specialist (TS&D) for Dow who provides technical support and development services to aviation, aerospace, and defense industry customers across North America.

His expertise includes application development, problem solving, and prototype support for demanding applications that require material solutions.

Chris spent 27 years with Dow Corning Corporation. His current work for Dow Chemical Company (Dow) is based in Midland, Michigan. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Central Michigan University.
