The Detroit Rubber Group will host its Fall Technical Meeting on Thursday, October 23, at Airboss of America Corporation’s Auburn Hills facility, The event runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (ET) and includes technical presentations and a tour of Airboss’ manufacturing facility. Steve Griffin, RDAbbott’s Director of Business Development, will be one of the featured presenters and will share insights on Conductive Silicone Technology.

The Los Angeles Rubber Group (TLARGI) will host its annual Technical Conference, Oktoberfest, and Mini Expo on Tuesday, October 7, at the Brea Community Center in Brea, California. The Technical Conference kicks off at 1:00 PM and includes a presentation by RDAbbott’s Rick Ziebell on Conductive Silicone Technology. Then, starting at 5:00 PM, the Oktoberfest and Mini Expo will begin— marking the first time RDAbbott and its manufacturing subsidiary, NovationSi, will be exhibiting side by side at this event.

RDAbbott now distributes select products from DENKA, one of the world’s largest producers of acetylene black, throughout North America. The distribution agreement includes the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The Ohio Rubber Group will hold its Fall Technical Meeting on Tuesday, September 23, at the Hilton Garden Inn Cleveland/Twinsburg in Twinsburg, Ohio. The event runs from 4:00 to 9:00 PM and includes technical presentations, a social hour, and dinner. Jake Steinbrecher, Technical Service & Development Scientist at Dow, will present silicone rubber’s material compatibility, safety, and performance advantages in EV applications, such as cables, busbars, battery components, and automotive lighting.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, RDAbbott is hosting a free technical seminar at the Wyndham Garden Edmonton Airport Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta, featuring Chemlok® rubber-to-substrate adhesives from Parker Lord. During this in-person event, Parker Lord Technical Field Service Engineer JR Nordstrom will review the rubber-to-substrate bonding process from start to finish. This review will include proper substrate preparation, adhesive preparation and application techniques, coated part handling, and molding best practices. The training will then transition into a troubleshooting workshop where failed parts are studied for bond failures and preventative actions.

Join us in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for LSR 2024 from October 13 – 15 to discuss technological and scientific developments in LSR and explore its countless industry applications. LSR 2024 will kick off with a welcome reception on Sunday evening. It will continue with two days of technical presentations on Monday and Tuesday, including a panel discussion about advances in silicone materials, and an exhibitor area to connect with other attendees.
