Thermal runaway, a phenomenon that occurs when a battery cell starts to heat up uncontrollably, remains a risk with lithium-ion batteries. Silicones offer a unique set of properties that make them well-suited for BFP in EVs.

Dow will exhibit and present at Battery Show North America 2023, the continent’s largest battery event for electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), from September 12 to 14 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.
