Cancarb is underscoring its commitment to sustainability by installing 7,000 solar panels near its carbon black plant in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. The project will provide the production facility with approximately 3.5 MW of renewable energy and supports the sustainability goals of Cancarb’s parent company and its customers.

Cancarb Limited has earned its third Platinum Sustainability Rating from EcoVadis, a global provider of corporate and environmental scorecards. The maker of Thermax® medium thermal carbon black also received EcoVadis’ highest rating in 2021 and 2023. Cancarb uses waste heat from its energy-efficient operations to help power its community and has developed a low-PAH product to address environmental health and safety concerns.
For the second time in three years, Cancarb Limited has received the highest possible sustainability rating from EcoVadis, a global provider of corporate and environmental scorecards. Cancarb’s Platinum Sustainability Rating indicates that the maker of Thermax® medium thermal carbon black is in the top 1% of rated suppliers.
RDAbbott has joined forces with Cancarb Limited as its exclusive distributor for Thermax® brand medium thermal carbon black in Mexico. This strategic agreement, effective June 25, 2023, aims to expand market presence and deliver exceptional technical support to customers. RDAbbott’s Mexico subsidiary, RDAbbott de México S. de R.L. de C.V., will facilitate and manage the distribution operations locally. RDAbbott has represented Cancarb products in the United States and Canada since 2017.
