RDAbbott Expands Supplier Partnership with Parker LORD to Cover Midwest
November 3, 2021
RDAbbott is now distributing Parker LORD products to even more locations across North America. Under a new distribution agreement that became effective on November 1, RDAbbott began stocking Parker LORD materials at its Barberton, Ohio, service center for shipment to customers in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. This new agreement covers Parker LORD Autoseal®, Chemlok®, Flocklok®, In-Mold Bonding Adhesives (IMB™), LokRelease™ and Sipiol® brands.
RDAbbott also supplies Parker LORD materials to customers in Canada and the Western United States. In addition, RDAbbott distributes IMB™ adhesives throughout North America. The relationship between the two companies dates back to 1958 to solve rubber-to-substrate bonding challenges. Today, Parker LORD makes adhesives, coatings, primers, and mold release agents that are recognized as industry-leading brands.
“For more than 60 years, RDAbbott has partnered with Parker LORD, in rubber-to-substrate bonding,” said Greg Hrenya, RDAbbott’s Vice President of Business Development. “As a testimony to our collaborative partnership and evidence of Parker LORD’s confidence in our services, RDAbbott will distribute their materials across the U.S. Midwest and beyond as we continue to connect customers with the best products and services.”
At its Barberton service center, RDAbbott maintains a dedicated team of account managers, customer service representatives, material scientists, and rubber technologists. The new facility includes 60,000 sq. ft. for warehousing with 10 docks, three drive-in doors, and rail spur access. RDAbbott recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the Barberton service center, which is also the headquarters for NovationSi, its manufacturing subsidiary for highly specialized elastomer products.
