Cancarb Models its Commitment to Sustainability by Sponsoring and Planting Trees in Local Park

On Thursday, September 22, 2022, Cancarb Limited cooperated with the town of Redcliff in a new legacy tree-planting initiative.

Thanks to a monetary contribution by Cancarb, 16 trees were added to Lions Park in Redcliff, Alberta, Canada. Cancarb also volunteered its employees to assist with planting the trees alongside fellow townsmen.

This partnership resulted in 4 Mayday, 4 White Ash, 4 Elm, and 4 Hawthorn trees being planted in the park by some of the oldest trees in the Town.

“Many of the trees at Lions Park are nearing the end of their life and it’s a perfect opportunity for us to make an environmental contribution to our community” shared Peter Donnelly, President of Cancarb. “Sustainability is core to our business. We are pleased to combine our social initiatives with the environmental responsibility of reducing our carbon footprint, and in turn, to beautify one of the parks in our area.”

Owned by Tokai Carbon Group from Japan, Cancarb Limited is a globally-recognized leader in the development, manufacturing, and global distribution of medium thermal carbon black—an ingredient used in the production of rubber, plastics, insulation, concrete, graphite and more.
