Custom LSR Processing Training (June 9 – 10)

Join RDAbbott for an immersive two-day Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) Processing Training at our LSR Application Center in Barberton, Ohio, June 9 – 10, 2026.

Designed for processors, molders, engineers, and technical professionals, this hands-on training combines silicone fundamentals with real-world machine setup, tooling considerations, dosing systems, and process optimization techniques.

Led by Craig Lustek, RDAbbott’s LSR Application and Business Development Engineer, attendees will gain practical knowledge and experience working directly with industry-leading equipment and technologies used in modern LSR manufacturing environments.

Participants will explore LSR injection molding machine setup and operation, silicone rubber fundamentals, dosing system functionality, tooling considerations, and fill study analysis leading to improved process optimization. The training will feature Plustech’s Sodick V-LINE® GL100 injection molding machine, NEXUS’ ServoMix X20 dosing system, and tooling solutions from M.R. Mold & Engineering and Marc’s Tool Works.

Whether you are new to LSR processing or looking to strengthen your team’s technical capabilities, this customized training experience is designed to provide actionable knowledge you can apply immediately on the production floor.

Location and Times

Training sessions will be held from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM each day at RDAbbott’s Service Center, located at 25 Foundation Place in Barberton, Ohio. Doors open at 8:30 AM.

Craig Lustek, LSR Application / Business Development Engineer for RDAbbott

Craig Lustek has more than 20 years of experience in process engineering, research and development, product management and manufacturing. Before joining RDAbbott, Craig was an Application Engineer for one of the world’s largest manufacturers of plastics injection molding machines (IMM). He has also worked as a Process Engineer for a supplier of silicone Liquid Injection Molding Machines (LIMs). As an RDAbbott Application Engineer, Craig shares his in-depth knowledge of LIMs by developing technical resources and procedures, defining optimal IMM processes and setups, consulting with customers, and training key personnel.

Bryce Maczko has been at Plustech for a little over a year in the Technical Sales position. He oversees sales and distribution of high-performance Sodick injection molding machines in Western Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York territories.

 

Cost and Registration

The cost to attend this training is $800 per person.

Training cost includes:

  • Two days of instruction led by industry professionals with decades of silicone knowledge

Out-of-town registrants will be responsible for their own lodging and airport transportation needs.

After registering, attendees will receive a confirmation email with all the pertinent training details, along with an invoice containing payment information.
