RDAbbott is now distributing Parker LORD products to even more locations across North America. Under a new distribution agreement that became effective on November 1, RDAbbott began stocking Parker LORD materials at its Barberton, Ohio, service center for shipment to customers in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
In this video presentation, RDAbbott’s Special Projects Manager Tom Martin provides an overview of the technical services and elastomer products RDAbbott provides, as well as highlights a few new rubber technologies impacting the transportation industry.
LORD® In-Mold Bonding (IMB™) liquid silicone rubber (LSR) adhesives are non-tacky polymer-based coatings that when applied to a substrate provide a structural bond to a rigid or elastomeric polymer, which is formed under heat and pressure. LORD IMB 3000 series adhesives are designed for bonding platinum-cured silicone rubber to a variety of thermoplastic and metal substrates during the injection molding process.
Visit RDAbbott in booth 645 at the 2019 International Elastomer Conference October 8 – 10 in Cleveland, Ohio. We’ll be featuring innovations in 3D printing from German RepRap using Dow SILASTIC™ 3D 3335 Liquid Silicone Rubber; as well as studies in elastomer sealing performance in hydrogen fuel cells using Cancarb Thermax® N990 Thermal Carbon Black filler and resin-cured and sulfur-cured brominated butyl from ARLANXEO.
LORD Corporation has announced the creation of Chemlok® CB, a one-component rubber-to-metal and rubber-to-rubber adhesive for bonding vulcanized substrates at room temperature. This REACH compliant adhesive has shown rubber tearing bonds to most formulations of chloroprene, neoprene, and chlorobutyl rubber. Applied like a contact adhesive but forming crosslinks between the rubber and substrate allows for ease of use while providing the bond strength needed for most applications.
Visit RDAbbott in booth 122 at the 2018 International Elastomer Conference October 9 – 11 in Louisville, Kentucky. We’ll be featuring innovations in 3D printing using Dow SILASTIC™ 3D 3335 Liquid Silicone Rubber as well as studies in optimal loadings of Cancarb Thermax® N990 Thermal Carbon Black to enhance processability of TSE Industries’ Millathane® Millable Polyurethane.
