RDAbbott will share its rubber industry knowledge at Silicone Elastomers Technology and Fabrication, an in-person course from M.R. Toub Training from January 31 to February 3, 2023. Rick Ziebell will be an instructor for this university-accredited course, which will provide participants with 3.2 continuing education credits from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Dow has launched a new series of selective adhesion LSR products for the mobility and transportation industry. SILASTIC™ SA 994X LSRs are primer-less, self-adhesive, and available in standard and self-lubricating versions with a one-to-one mix ratio for two-component injection molding with thermoplastic substrates. These new LSR materials were specifically developed to target adhesion to polybutylene terephthalates (PBT) and polyamides (PA).

RDAbbott and NovationSi have released a holiday video that transforms a classic Christmas poem into a tale from today’s rubber industry. “’Twas the Night Before Christmas,” an eighteenth-century poem that is credited to various authors, features a cast of RDAbbott and NovationSi employees from the companies’ Garden Grove, California, and Barberton, Ohio Service Centers.

To help you get into the holiday spirit, RDAbbott and NovationSi have released its annual holiday video—a light-hearted parody of the classic Christmas poem “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” This holiday production captures scenes of silicone-molded ornaments being made and hung, holiday cookies being tested, salespeople celebrating year-end bookings, Santa on a forklift, and more.

RDAbbott is a co-organizer, sponsor, and exhibitor for LSR 2022, the premiere conference about liquid silicone rubber (LSR), which can be used with liquid injection molding (LIM) to produce high-quality silicone parts. This year’s event is scheduled for September 13 – 15, 2022, in Irvine, California, and will include technical presentations by RDAbbott and several of its supplier partners. RDAbbott has hired Sean Djuricic as Account Manager for outside sales starting with the U.S. West Coast. Sean is a rubber industry professional with 20+ years of sales and marketing experience. Previously, Sean was the sales and marketing manager for Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc. (ARDL), which provides testing and development services to the rubber and plastic industries.
