RDAbbott to Present “Elastomer-to-Metal Adhesion: Best Practices for Adhesive Mixing and Application” to Quebec Rubber Group (October 24)

On Thursday, October 24, 2024, starting at 4:30 PM (ET), Cristina DiFranco, Account Manager for RDAbbott, will present “Elastomer-to-Metal Adhesion: Best Practices for Adhesive Mixing and Application” at the Quebec Rubber Group’s Technical-Commercial Dinner at Château Bromont in Bromont, Quebec, Canada.

This presentation will be similar to the Chemlok® Overview, Best Practices, and Troubleshooting seminar that RDAbbott will host on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, as well as previous online and in-person events held in collaboration with Parker Lord, maker of Chemlok® products.

What Guests Will Learn

RDAbbott’s presentation to the Quebec Rubber Group will focus on Chemlok® rubber-to-substrate vulcanizing adhesives, products that bond rubber to metal. Topics covered will include:

  • Adhesive systems and primers
  • Primer and product preparation, including mixing and dilution
  • Product application with brushing, dipping, or spraying
  • Post-application drying, handling, and film thickness measurement

About Cristina DiFranco

Cristina DiFranco joined RDAbbott in May 2024 after working as an Application Engineer at Parker Lord in Erie, Pennsylvania, for six years. There, she focused on technical troubleshooting, training, and product selection for Chemlok® adhesive customers in a hybrid position that featured both a customer-facing role and an internal laboratory role. She is a graduate of Case Western University.
