RDAbbott will reconnect with customers and colleagues at the Spring Technical Meeting for Rubber Division, ACS on Tuesday, April 27, and Wednesday, April 28. RDAbbott will attend technical meetings and share tabletop exhibits at this hybrid event, which will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton, Cleveland Rockside, in Independence, Ohio. Last year’s in-person spring meeting was canceled because of the coronavirus.
RDAbbott is launching a new webinar series that will provide technical insights and processing recommendations, feature new products and technologies, and showcase solutions from supplier partners. The first webinar in this free series, “Third-Stream Additives that Modify LSR and HCR,” is scheduled for Tuesday, March 30, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (PT) and will explain how RDAbbott and NovationSi, with its revolutionary NovaSperse® third-stream modifier technologies, are advancing ways to change the functional properties of cured articles in situ of the liquid injection molding process.
RDAbbott is announcing that Alpha Technologies will host a three-day series of live webinars about rubber testing. The series will begin on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, and includes 12 webinars on a variety of topics. Each webinar will be led by an elastomer industry expert and cost $100 to attend. Participants will gain insights about the rheology behind Alpha Technologies’ instruments and learn how to troubleshoot material and process issues.

RDAbbott’s 2020 Christmas video was recorded and produced remotely because of the COVID-19 pandemic and features 16 singing employees (plus kids and pets) in separate, socially distanced locations.

During his lengthy career, he’s done everything from plant maintenance to working as a mill operator, calendar operator, lab technician, chemist, estimator, technical service representative, and account representative. While he followed in his father’s rubber industry footsteps, he’s clearly left his own mark.
