RDAbbott is announcing that two of its employees, Jerry McCall and Tom Martin, have earned industry honors. Jerry McCall was recognized for his service as 2018 Chair of the American Chemical Society’s Rubber Division. Tom Martin received an Honorary Lifetime Membership Award from The Los Angeles Rubber Group, Inc. . As a rubber industry leader, RDAbbott is committed to supporting the Rubber Division, ACS and its local rubber groups, which include TLARGI.
RDAbbott and Rubber Division, ACS have partnered together to produce a new video called, “Rubber: It’s Not Just Tires.” The video demonstrates the significance of rubber in everyday life and was designed to introduce the next generation of workers to this extraordinary industry. The video also includes footage from The Dow Chemical Company, ARLANXEO, and HALLSTAR.

RDAbbott has signed a new distribution agreement with LORD Corporation to expand its distribution of LORD adhesives and coatings to Canada. This new agreement will be facilitated and managed locally by RDAbbott’s newly established division, RDAbbott Canada, Ltd., based out of Burlington, Ontario, in the Greater Toronto Area.

Rick Ziebell, Technology Fellow for RDAbbott, will also present a paper, “LAM of Silicone Rubber Components,” on February 5 from 3:15 to 4:00 PM. RDAbbott will showcase material advancements and process innovations for the transportation industry at the Plastics and Rubber in Automotive Conference in Novi, Michigan, on January 14 and 15. RDAbbott will also deliver a technical presentation and invites attendees to another informational event.
