LSR 2025 (June 16 – 19)

Join us in Irvine, California, from June 16 – 19 at LSR 2025, a global event for professionals in the liquid silicone rubber (LSR) industry. LSR 2025 begins with a welcome reception on the evening of Monday, June 16, and is followed by two days of presentations, exhibits, and networking opportunities. The final day, Thursday, June 19, features demonstrations of injection molding machine (IMM) cells.

RDAbbott is a co-organizer for this event and Tom Jenkins, Vice President of Business Development, is a member of the Organizing Committee. RDAbbott will co-exhibit with Dow and NovationSi. RDAbbott, Dow, and NovationSi are also sponsoring the lanyards for LSR 2025.

Technical Presentations

Rick Ziebell, RDAbbott Technical Fellow and Vice President of Technology, will present “Electrically Conductive Silicones Using Carbon-Nanotube Matrices” on Tuesday, June 17, at 2:30 PM. These compounds are an example of the innovative custom solutions RDAbbott and NovationSi are helping to develop. They provide high electrical conductivity with low loading levels that were previously unobtainable.

The technical presentations also feature talks from two of RDAbbott’s supplier partners:

  • Dr. Leanna Foster, Research Investigator for DuPont™ Liveo™ Healthcare Solutions, will present “Advancing Healthcare Innovation through Material Selection and Manufacturing Excellence” on Tuesday, June 17, at 11:00 AM. Leanna will examine how low-viscosity silicone formulations are enabling the creation of intricate components, such as thin-walled designs, while supporting faster injection speeds.
  • Jason Reese, Senior TS&D Scientist for Dow, will present “Driving Sustainability and Circularity in Silicone Elastomers” on Tuesday, June 17, at 2:00 PM. Jason will examine environmental sustainability across the silicone value chain, from innovations in silicon metal processing and silicone fabrication to advancements in recycling technologies. He will also emphasize the importance of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in analyzing the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF).
IMM Demonstrations

On Thursday, June 19, LSR 2025 participants will visit ARBURG’s facility in Irvine, California, for demonstrations on two IMM cells. Both cells will feature custom NovaSperse® Color Dispersions from NovationSi that match ARBURG’s teal logo. ARBURG will use molds from ACH Solution with its ALLROUNDER electric injection molding machines.

  • Cell 1 will use a silicone bottle stopper mold and Dow’s SILASTIC™ RBL-9200-60 LSR.
  • Cell 2 will use a silicone cable tie mold and a platinum-cured high consistency rubber (HCR) from Momentive.

This is the same part that ARBURG produced at MD&M West in February.
