On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, RDAbbott is hosting a free technical seminar at the Wyndham Garden Edmonton Airport Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta, featuring Chemlok® rubber-to-substrate adhesives from Parker Lord. During this in-person event, Parker Lord Technical Field Service Engineer JR Nordstrom will review the rubber-to-substrate bonding process from start to finish. This review will include proper substrate preparation, adhesive preparation and application techniques, coated part handling, and molding best practices. The training will then transition into a troubleshooting workshop where failed parts are studied for bond failures and preventative actions.

Parker Lord has released a new video that describes everyday applications for its popular Chemlok® adhesives. The video, “Chemlok Adhesives: The Invisible Bond of Your Everyday Life,” highlights Chemlok technology for rubber-to-substrate bonding at home, in the car, and at the office. The video also shows how Sipiol® coatings and Flocklok® adhesives help improve daily life through improved sealing and noise reduction.

RDAbbott recently hired Cristina DiFranco and Brittany Ploep as Account Managers. Cristina is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and serves the Northeastern United States. Brittany will be based in and serve the Southeastern United States. As RDAbbott Account Managers, they will build relationships, foster growth, provide technical support, communicate with suppliers, and provide the best overall solutions for customers in their respective regions.

Parker Lord has released a new animated video that shows electric vehicle (EV) applications for its Chemlok® adhesives, Sipiol® adhesives and coatings, and Flocklok®/Flocksil® adhesive products. These proven solutions meet EV-specific challenges, such as heavier vehicle weights and greater suspension loads, while supporting automotive comfort, performance, and safety.

Parker LORD has launched a web page that explains how its Chemlok® rubber-to-substrate bonding products are used in electric vehicles. This new resource includes an overview video, information about adhesives and coatings for weatherstripping and glass, information about dielectric coatings for battery packs, and explanations of how Chemlok® products are used in motor mounts and suspension parts.

RDAbbott Canada, Ltd. will showcase materials and technologies for the mining industry at this year’s CIM Convention & EXPO in booth #1705. CIM, the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, is returning to in-person events and hosting CIM EXPO, Canada’s premier mining trade show, at the Vancouver Convention Centre (West Building) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, from May 1 to 3, 2022.

RDAbbott is now distributing Parker LORD products to even more locations across North America. Under a new distribution agreement that became effective on November 1, RDAbbott began stocking Parker LORD materials at its Barberton, Ohio, service center for shipment to customers in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
