In case you weren’t able to attend LSR2018 in Anaheim, California, and hear Rick Ziebell’s presentation on “Innovations in Additive 3D Printing of Silicone Rubber Components,” you’re in luck. This video provides an overview of his presentation, highlighting the revolutionary liquid additive manufacturing (LAM) 3D printing technology collaboratively developed by Dow Silicones and German RepRap.
Here’s a glimpse into the LSR technologies and collaborative partnership on display in Zeiger Industries’ booth at NPE2018 to produce an automotive LED headlamp optic with Dow DOWSIL® MS-4007 Moldable Silicone.
Join us at LSR 2018 September 11 – 13, 2018, at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Anaheim, California. RDAbbott will be co-exhibiting with Dow to feature the latest advancements in silicone materials and technologies and Rick Ziebell will be spotlighting GermanRepRap’s LAM 3D Printer and Dow’s SILASTIC™ 3D 3335 LSR in his presentation.
In booth W4143 at NPE2018, Zeiger Industries will be molding an automotive LED headlamp optic made from DOWSIL™ MS-4007 Moldable Silicone on a Milacron-Fanuc Roboshot a-S55iA with their new iHMI Controller that has a two cavity mold mounted to a M.R. Mold universal base with a single drop gated cold runner system. The production cell will utilize an ELMET TOP 5000P dosing system, a Thermal Care air cooled EQ3A01 portable chiller, and a Yushin YC-100S-11-8 robot with an E-Touch Compact controller, a custom engineered end-of-arm tool, and a Yushin indexing conveyor. A virtual molding simulation of the filling and curing process will be provided compliments of SIGMASOFT®. The Zeiger LSR Plug-n-Play Conversion Kit incorporates a Wexco777 water-cooled barrel, Zpringlok™ LSR pre-closed valve, ZSAR PM zero compression ratio screw and their proprietary barrel/screw sealing device.
From all of us at RDAbbott, we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. To help you get into the holiday spirit, check out our special rendition of Feliz Navidad. Enjoy!
We hope you enjoy this glimpse into RDAbbott’s internship program. This year marks our fourth consecutive year to invest in this educational program. We are already looking forward to seeing what 2018 has in store!
