Dow has launched a new series of selective adhesion LSR products for the mobility and transportation industry. SILASTIC™ SA 994X LSRs are primer-less, self-adhesive, and available in standard and self-lubricating versions with a one-to-one mix ratio for two-component injection molding with thermoplastic substrates. These new LSR materials were specifically developed to target adhesion to polybutylene terephthalates (PBT) and polyamides (PA).

RDAbbott is a co-organizer, sponsor, and exhibitor for LSR 2022, the premiere conference about liquid silicone rubber (LSR), which can be used with liquid injection molding (LIM) to produce high-quality silicone parts. Dow has launched SILASTIC™ MS-5002 Moldable Silicone, a LSR for high-volume production of parts, such as the light guides in adaptive driving beam headlights. This new optical material has very low mold fouling for faster cycle times and is specially formulated for injection molded parts with less-complex geometries.
